Chelsea Art Alley · Main Street Masterpiece Contest
About this piece
As a birder, the Blue Heron holds a special place in my heart. A lot of the birds I spot are quick and hard to follow, flitting around sporadically. The heron is still and solitary, moving with purpose and intention and I feel a sense of groundedness and calm when I observe one. This is the first in a series of watercolor paintings of birds that hold special meaning for me.
