About this piece

My pastel, Maple Gold, was inspired by a view of the Huron River during a walk in early fall. The air was muted and still and only the maples had started changing colors, reflecting their yellow gold hues in the water.

I’ve been a Chelsea Painter for many years and exhibit my work in our annual June Art Fair as well as our other group exhibits throughout the year. I am also a member of the Great Lakes Pastel Society. In my recent work I love exploring seasonal changes in the landscape using watercolor and pastel media.
