Chelsea Art Alley · Main Street Masterpiece Contest
About this piece
This is a painting from my friend that weaves beautifully colorful scarves. When she finishes her weaving parts of the ends of the weaving are trimmed off. She places these cast off pieces of fiber into her yard where birds pick them up and incorporate them in to nests. The nests were so beautiful I was inspired to paint them.

About the artist
Debra Groth
Art has been a life long passion for me so much so that I taught art in public schools, art centers and in my home studio. I love color in nature and am inspired to interpret what I see with a creative license. Gardens landscapes lakes or leaves on the ground all call me to capture them on canvas, paper or collage.
